Saturday June 19th

Coed 4's (2 males max.) A, BB, B & C will be held at Setters Volleyball Complex (Dayton) and spill over courts at Thomas Cloud. Teams playing at Cloud will travel after the conclusion of pool play to Setters.

Notes for teams playing at Setters (Dayton)

(No carry in food or drink. The only exception being water bottles and jugs (no packaged srore bought drinks) and fruit and veggies. No coolers!!! )

 

 

Notes for teams playing at Thomas Cloud:

(Public Park Rules and Regulations Apply!, Please bring appropriate shelter)

Great idea to bring umbrellas, chairs any food and drink beside alcohol. Pop up tents are also a great idea. Please follow Setters rules after traveling.

Margarita Classic 08 Tournament Tidbits

Registration: Teams playing at Setters may register between 8:30 and 8:50. Teams playing pool play at Thomas Cloud may register between 8:45 – 9:00 as well. We will only accept full team payment. Teams not registered and paid in full may forfeit their spot to a team on the waiting list.

Start Time: 9:00 or directly after the captains meeting.

What to bring: Everything from chairs to shade tents will be allowed at both locations. You may not bring in any alcoholic beverages. Please bring a water bottle. We will run out of cups for the water jugs.

Food and Drink: Setters will have food available to purchase. Setters has a strict food and drink policy. Simply put (no outside packaged food or drink) You may bring fruit veggies and liquid in jugs. Absolutely No Coolers Allowed. Setters will have food and drink available. Setters has stocked up on pizzas and If you have to ask: Leave it in the car.

Kids: If you bring them you must supervise them. There are not a lot of activities for them and the courts will be off limits.

Play: Please limit warm-ups to 5 min. and time in between games to 3 min. Two 30 sec. Time will be allowed per game. We will use modified USA coed rules.
All games will be played in rally fashion.
Games will be played to 21 or 25 pts. To be determined at the captains meeting. Win by 2pts and no cap
The let rule will apply (Ball hits the net on the serve and crosses over the net it is still in play) All teams must have at least 1 girl and no more than 2. There are no rotations in Quads only a service rotation.
The coed rule will be used for B and BB level and voted on by the A and C teams in the morning meeting Double contacts will not be called for any 1st balls over the net. This rule will be voted on by the A and BB level teams at captains meeting. No open hand tips or dinks allowed. If you set the ball over the net your shoulders must be square to the set.

Pool Play: All division will play a form of round robin play.
We will guarantee at least 50% of the teams will advance to a single elimination tournament. In most cases we will take almost everybody.

Officiating: Please be aware of when your team is responsible for officiating. Please write the scores down on the provided score sheet and turn them into the tournament director’s tent. All team must provide an up and a down ref. Please bring your own whistles.

Other: Specific rules will be addressed at the captains meeting.
